The Arthur family can look back over 137 years of service to the public of the North West and Donegal. The first estate agency founded in the City by a member of the Arthur family was set up in 1880 by Mr Hugh Arthur, who opened his business in Castle Street after having spent several years with one of the leading legal firms in the North West.
The business was continued by Mr Arthur's son, Mr Jack Arthur, who made an outstanding contribution to estate agency and property management.
He introduced completely new methods that were of particular benefit to a large and influential clientele, whose appreciation of the services and personal attention which was offered, led to a steady expansion of the business throughout the three North West Counties.
In 1967 Mr John V Arthur became the third generation to continue the family profession which he entered after taking a BSc degree in Estate Management at London University. He offered the public of the North West completely fresh approaches to estate agency and property management, the buying and selling of all types of residential, farm and commercial property.
In 1980 Mr Jeremy Arthur, became the fourth generation to enter the family profession, when he joined his father's business. After gaining 15 years' valuable experience in all aspects of estate agency, Jeremy took over direction of the estate agency business at 150 Spencer Road in March 1995.
With such a long and proud tradition the Arthurs have forged important links with all professional bodies such as solicitors, building societies and banks which is, of course, beneficial to their clients, new and old.
